Hyde Park woman has joined an elite group of athletes.

Paulette Beliveau Jones won a ranking as a professional bodybuilder March 8 at the Green Mountain Thaw in Brattleboro.

The event is an International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness competition. It’s particularly challenging because it attracts athletes from throughout New England and beyond.

They compete for what is known as a pro card. The cards are awarded to the top athlete in each of several categories, signifying they have reached professional status in the bodybuilding world.
