Giant Rats

Places used for the filming of hit crime drama Broadchurch are being over-run by a plague of giant rats. North Somerset Council chiefs have called in rat catchers after large numbers of the rodents have been spotted scurrying close to locations in Clevedon where the drama is filmed.

The rats, some of which are eighteen inches long, have been spotted at Marshall's Field, just metres away from Olivia Coleman's on-screen family home.
